Consultant- Corporate Compliance Officer (Training) NY or NJ

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: specific tasks associated with performing this job

1.Execute the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Program
a. Perform risk assessments of business activities to assure regulatory compliance
b. Develops and assures the execution of monitoring and testing programs to independently assess compliance of business activities
c. Provide guidance on policy and procedure development to the line of business
d. Assure adequate implementation of and reporting on the written enterprise BSA/AML program in the business line
e. Work with the business unit to implement new regulatory requirements

2.Participate in new product development initiatives or modifications to existing business line products, processes and strategies
a. Provide independent compliance risk assessments of new products and changes to existing business products and processes
b. Support business development initiatives with regulatory compliance and control design expertise
c. Escalate compliance concerns to senior management and work to identify appropriate mitigation strategies

3.Issue resolution
a. Partner with the line of business to identify appropriate actions to timely resolve or mitigate compliance failures and issues
b. Provide independent reporting to management on the status of compliance issue resolution
c. Validate the closure of compliance issues

4.Ensure appropriate training of business unit personnel

5.Reporting to management on the status of compliance
a. Report to business unit management and Corporate Compliance on the status of business line compliance and compliance management activities
b. Routinely advise business line management of emerging compliance risks

6.Program and Examination Support
a. In coordination with Corporate Compliance, prepares for and coordinates regulatory compliance examinations of the business unit
b. Actively collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer and the corporate compliance staff to enhance the corporate compliance program


REQUIRED SKILLS

•7+ years of regulatory or compliance management, audit or operational risk experience
•Operational knowledge of the business line (helpful)
•Ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and analyze their impact on business operations
•Strong oral and written communications
•Ability to drive change efficiently and collaboratively across an organization
