Role Summary/Purpose
• Focus on daily execution of how to restructure a workout loan or lease. Analyze and manage assigned portfolios to maximize loan recovery through proactive working out, restructuring, and other resolutions.

Essential Responsibilities
• Manage workflow of assigned portfolio to contact borrowers and resolve problem accounts.
• Perform extensive analysis and due diligence to identify risks associated with modification of credit terms and determine appropriate structure and pricing.
• Provide in depth financial analysis of historical financial statements and operating information, and identify important value determinants and risks, using knowledge of accepted accounting principle, model design, and financial analysis
• Develop cash flow models taking into historical performance, account industry and economic environment and various restructuring alternatives
• Comfort with DCF models is critical, development of collateral and enterprise valuation models and analysis
• Perform industry/economic assessments, identifying economic trends, competitive analysis and business models
• Perform relative value analysis and understand capital market dynamics
• Make recommendations regarding waivers, amendments and restructuring strategies
• Sit on ad-hoc or formal creditor committees
• Provide background information on industries and prospective companies to Asset Recovery Group Personnel prior to meetings with managements and other creditors.
• Assist in the identification of the distinctive competences, competitive advantages, and competitive weaknesses of troubled credits.
• Prepare presentations materials, discussion points and questions prior to meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of credit approval request memorandum (“CAR”), which support the valuation of companies and the economics of proposed transactions and identify major risks and mitigants
• Assist with negotiations of restructuring proposals and legal documentation

Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification and background check.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Full competency in financial modeling of complex financial transactions
• Firm grasp of Corporate Finance Principles & their practical applicability in structuring a complex capital structure
• Knowledge of secured lending, capital structures & intercreditor issuses
• Familiar with bankruptcy concepts
• Knowledge of Credit Agreements & other legal documentation
• Experience working on the restructure of poor performing loans
• Desire & commitment to learn new techniques to create solutions & the intellectual curiosity & flexibility to question assumptions
• Ability to think far beyond the senior secured “credit” box
• Candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal & written communication skills. PC skills are required.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg & LoanIQ helpful
• Ability to properly plan heavy work loads/good organizational skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years experience in a finance, banking, or risk environment. MBA Degree a plus.
