Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant needed to work in Global Accounting Operations at CIT Group. Primary responsibility will be reconciling liability and other related expense accounts. Will also assume certain monthly close activities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensure compliance with CIT's accounting policies.
* Responsible for performing accounting functions including monthly close process, account analysis, income review, reconciliation and journal processing.

Required Experience:
* Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related is required.
* 6 - 10 years of experience in Finance industry preferably in a banking / lending / leasing environment.
* Prior managerial experience a plus.
* Experience working in a team environment for project oriented assignments.
* Effective organizational and communication skills.
* Good problem solving and analytical skills.
* Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
