Responsible for reviewing third party approved residential and commercial appraisal reports including the preparation of an appraisal review document for the bank; prepare an analysis and evaluations of the bank’s commercial assets as designated; coordinate with Loan and Special Assets staff and other bank departments in reference to valuation issues; assist department manager in training, development and coaching of appraisal department staff including the utilization of an automated appraisal ordering system; maintain a current file status of each approved appraiser for the bank; perform special projects as assigned by the department manager.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate, Finance or related degree, possess a State of Florida Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license and have at least 5 years of commercial appraisal and review experience is required; ability to work with external appraisal firms to ensure that USPAP, FIRREA and company standards are being met; possess strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal), ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy while having the capacity to communicate at multiple levels of the organization; ability to prioritize, take direction and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency while being able to organize and manage multiple projects at any given time; proficient in M.S. Word and Excel and other related RE market services; possess both appraisal and appraisal review experience within banking and/or financial institution and/or advanced candidacy within the Appraisal Institute is preferred.
